half way into spring. shitttttt. where did freshman year go??? im already knee deep into midterms and i know i wont get out until finals are over. Im in love with my asian american pop culture class. its the only class i cant wait to go to and dont mind the long bike ride every monday weds friday.
the weather was beautiful for awhile but is mildly dreary at the moment.

Spring quarter was supposed to be the best quarter yet. i mean santa barbara= sunny and beautiful. Instead it is pouring like pouring like its the appocalypse outside. I sat through two hours of classes this fine morning soaked. My classes are so far pretty interesting. Greek Mythology= easy. Asian Pop Culture Studies= interesting. Environmental Studies= fun. Math= last math class ever. Spring quarter would be perfect if the weather perked up. the boys should perk up as well. i mean the boys here are plain gross (danny) and im just not interested. met a super nice boy the last day before spring break. had a really fun time. but now i see that on his facebook his favorite quote is "may your beer or your ladies never be flat". are you kidding mee?? i suppose my perceptions of him were wrong. once again.

at least i love my friends here and could not ask for any better. i already miss everyone from home. the combination of pms and saying goodbye to everyone again made me slightly emotional. and freshman ball is on friday. im anticipating a fun night.

Things i Hate:

1. Waiting for things. Im very anxious about things like that.

2. People who think that since they like a billion obscure bands that they are therefore better than you. "what! you've never heard of the ....s" <--- dislike.

3. Things that should be really cheap but are actually really expensive. Examples: underwear, batteries, stamps, tangelos, laundry.

4. Mushy noodles at the cafeteria. also the fact that everything at dlg has cheese in it.

5. When i/other people judge others based on looks and manerisms alone.

6. Not having moving sidewalks everywhere.

7. Keys. holding them. losing them. they smell like metal. theyre annoying.

THings i Love:

1. Cool vocabulary words that i can use to impress others. "Did you know 'vrach vasheist' means 'you are an enemy fascist' in russian" thansk amandas.

2. Getting mail. In my mailbox, in my inbox, on my facebook. "my happiness depends on the number of messages i get every day"

3. Laughing about really horrible jokes. exaple: Clifford quotes, and the interrupting cow jokes.

4. Sweatpants/my stretchy pants. Theyre comfy.

5. Watching 'Friends'. My roomate has gotten me hooked on the therapy of watching friends dvds when im in a bad mood.

6. When people who you dont know well recognize you and are super nice. Nice people in general, i love. "youre that girl with the group on facebook" yay.

7. Holidays/special occasions. I always like an excuse to dress up cool and celebrate.

Hello all.
A little story for your enjoyment:::

THurday night i went out with sarahgerrity and we wore dresses. fun party. on the way home she handed me my keys. once we got to our bikes i had no keys. we went back and looked for them and couldnt find them anywhere. so i leave my bike there and walk home. come inside tell my roomate i lost my keys and i need to sleep. i went back and looked for them on dp yesterday and had no luck.
then.... i wake up this morning and looked under my pillow and they were there. alkjdksaldj. im so confused bc i had no pockets and did not have them on the way home. its an odd situation. a small green fairy helped me out i suppose. any other logical explanations??

so i finally resolved the headache of housing for next year issues. im living in a semi dinky place with elizabeth buda and leah. two bedroom house. which will be super fun to fix up and make pretty. im excieted. and wanna live there this summer. now i just need a job.

i wish more people had livejournals.

o and i totally got pulled over today with my mom. but got a warning... thanks to my irresistable charm.

other hilights from santa barbara winter quarter include::

1. getting in a bike accident with myself.

9. im going to have a warhol themed house.
10. philosophy is a cool subject. and keeps my mind entertained.

i just got my housing thingy in the mail and im living in anacapa (ie the really nice dorm that is next to the beach) so yayyyY! and like i move in sept 18th.

so i decided to actually use this thing again bc i decieded that its a cool idea to have a journal online. so anyways. my summer has been spent thus far at farm camp and top dogggggg.

mee and kitty planned a little camping trip this weekend that ended up in absolutely no camping. we barbequed hot dogs if that gives us any credit and then went home before dark and drank at bex's. i woke up in a prouty chas sandwich and spent the day w amanda bex denis and prouty doing absolutely nothing.

last week of camp is this week which makes me sad bc its been a really awesome summer and i want it to continue to be fun forever and not have to face the fact that im 18 and have to go to college. boo for being forced to make new friends. i like the ones i have.

the end of camp will mean though that i can spend more time just chillaxing and enjoying rest and ppl. i need to spent as max time as possible w my nora and diana and joe and fran bc they are the air i breathe and i dont know how im gonna deal w out them. so um ya sad now. thanks damn livejournal.

havent updated since jan.. oops. so yesterday i went w diana and nora and josemefine and liz to santa barbra and looooved it. we took the tour and it is sooo nice there and everone rides bikes and it looks super. i sent in my "statement of intent thingy this morning. im so excited that i know hwere im going. we took like a lot of picturres but it takes like forever for them to load.. so sorry. and noras brilliant and got into berkely and columbia. yay for her and her smartness. spring break has been fun so far. i went con diana and her parentals to sonoma for like a week and we hot air balooned and did a puzzle..cuz were cool like that. and swam like everyday in the heated pool that i miss now. and yesterday mee nora joe and diana went to balboapark bc it was such a nice day and tried to fly a kite but the kite i found had no string. we found a nice hairy man in the park conveniently cutting his beard and we were gonna ask him to borrow his scissors to cut some of my sheet for string, but we thought it might be weird. only 2 more months left of sr year. hmm kinda sad kinda yeaa. cant wait for summer and farmmm camp and i get to be an actual counselor. o and my ice cream job has been closed for lije a month but were opening again in like a week and selling gormet hotdogs and ice cream. so come and visit me and get ice cream and fancy hotdogs. wow i wrote alot. props to u if u read that. alright. signing off and forever yours... kelsey margie smith.

wow...immmm bored. and kinda screwed on my hmwk considering i havent done any of it. i bought an ipod yesterday but my compuper sucks and i need to get windows 2000 so it doesnt work. grrr. i hope everyone had a good xmas break. i was ungrounded as of after xmas. i went to six flags w josemefine on wed and it was pouring and we had mucho fun. and we met these lil korean children who taught us bad words and got completely soaked by jumping in all the puddles and ate funnel cake til i wanted to barf. mee fran nora diana and jo and frans bf and bro all went to tgi fridays on wed and gave eachother xmas regalos. i love them. i went out w pmint, melly, pix (on mon), minnesota, carlos, walter, and more ppl on mon and tues but had my new 11pm curfew which wasnt fun. worked alot. sister came and visited for xmas and we had fun. we skipped church on xmas to go get coffee across the street and went to galleria xmas nite and drove around looking at xmas lights and stole a support bush sign from some peoples yard and it is now in our family room. happy new year to everyone...o and happy bday to khathy hoang (yesterday)!!!

okay. so tonight kelsey draaaaaaaaaaged me to stupid jimmy kimmel live to see senses fail -a wannabe artsyydeep band with weird lyrics about killing some chick. so there was the aladdin premiere too but we dont think aladdin aka steve from full house would come. so we got in and saw kelseys mexican twin armando who was wearing the same green homegrown shirt, so we talked to him and sergio .

as kelsey says, i was in the pit but more like the armpit because seriously..like 5 smelly ass pits in my face during the show. thanks kelsey you ain't nothing but a bitch ass ho. so whats up with like people feeling the need to thrust their arms forward in the air all violently while jumping up and down in the process of humping me and messing up my hair and making me rub onto the smelly greasy haired girl in front of me/ like yeah, go team i like the band, but that sucked kind of. people need to chill or read books and shit.
